Today we went early morning blueberry picking and it was so fun. Nash ate far more blueberries than I actually put in my bucket. I’m pretty sure the owners of the farm should weigh the kids when they enter and then when they exit so I can pay for the pints of berries he consumed. (I am trying not to think about the awesome diapers we will have around here this afternoon! EIK!) Evyn was content as long as some one was putting a berry in her mouth…which Nash and his friend Addison thought was quite fun. It was a great morning. The kids were FILTHY and I had to strip them down and let them ride home in their diapers. Now…what in the world am I going to do with all these blueberries????

Freeze them! I mean, if you have any left. Last year I froze a bag and used them all winter for pancakes, smoothies, etc. Spread them out in a single layer on a baking sheet and put them in the freezer until they are hard, then transfer into a freezer bag. Yay for summer berries!
