Welcome home. We are slowly but surely getting settled in our new home in the heart of ATL. “Slowly but surely” because unpacking with 3 little people seems to be next to impossible. I’ve freed myself from my self proposed deadlines and I’m just taking it a day at a time. If I get one or two boxes unpacked I consider it a successful day.
I still can’t believe I live in the city. It’s a far cry from my sweet home in Athens, but I think I’m really going to like it here. It just feels right, and that brings a lot of peace in the chaos. Our house is a little 1950’s brick ranch house (hence the title of the post, “my ranch in the city”. Get it? I just might make that my new blog name!) that has been updated by previous owners so while it may be small it has tons of potential. What I LOVE is the back patio and yard where the kids can play their hearts out. The fact that we even have a yard and trees is such a blessing…and just might be the one thing that keeps me sane living in the Land of Traffic. The neighborhood is awesome, too! Many of our neighbors have young kids and have been so friendly as we have moved in this week. So many answers to prayers already.
So, that’s just a little glimpse into our world. Here are some pictures…
YAY! So glad that ya’ll are getting settled in your new home! And I love the way you fix Evyn’s hair…you’re going to have to give me some tips when we get Caroline Faith home! 🙂
From what you’ve said about it your new house sounds wonderful! I’m so glad y’all were able to snag such a great-sounding place. I can’t wait to visit one day when you guys are completely settled in. 🙂
When did nash begin to look so grown up?!
Hi Vogeltanz Family,
Looks like you guys have had a lot of change recently! Congrats on your move and new babe. We would love to reconnect. I think my past emails may not be getting through. Stella wants to chat with her sista from anotha motha, Evyn.

Glad to see you are getting settled! Your house is SO adorable! I want to see a full shot. It has so much character. That Evyn is just too cute =) Alison is right about her hair…you might have to be Kristi’s assistant in the hair session next year!!
Still no baby news…but we should be ready to submit to the courts soon. Keep praying! I can’t wait to plan a weekend for our Ethiopian girls to meet! =)
