We had an awesome family weekend in Nashville! I really LOVE that city!
Bryson ran the Country Music Half Marathon as part of his training for his upcoming full marathon. Nash, Evyn and I did our part and cheered him on at the finish line. We were so proud! Seeing all those runners inspires me to run in a race! (haha, for those of you who know me well, I am sure you are laughing at that thought!)
We had fun hanging out with our friends the Driskell’s who graciously let us crash at their house for the weekend! Nash had a blast with all the girls’ toys! He makes pink look manly, don’t ya think?
But the big surprise of the weekend was getting to see Thomas the Train in Chattanooga on our way home. We surprised Nash when he woke up from his nap as we rolled into the station. He was SO SO excited!!
While I was left pretty unimpressed with the Thomas set up (they could have made it sooooo much better! It definitely lacked the excellence factor.) It was a dream come true for a two year old little boy! And as my mama always says, “Nothing done for a child is ever forgotten”. I think Nash will remember the day he rode Thomas the Train for a very long time.
