We completely missed the holidays this year. At least, that’s what it feels like. We were in India over Thanksgiving…Ethiopia bound on Christmas day…and Atlanta bound on New Years Eve. Believe me, I’m not complaining, I’m just contemplating. Sitting here in the quiet of my house (ahh, the sound of everyone sleeeeeeeping!) I have a lot to ponder and praise God for. In the past 2 months our little Vogeltanz clan has had much to celebrate. I told Bryson tonight, this is the first time in a long long time that I can not think of a single thing we are looking forward to or have on the horizon. He laughed and just said, “lets just sit in that awhile and enjoy it.” I think he is right. So in honor of just sitting in the moment and celebrating the past, here are a few pictures of us on Christmas eve when we opened presents and enjoyed Christmas the day before flying out to Ethiopia.
I know the feeling! I always feel like I’m looking to the next thing instead of just being still and enjoying. It’s something I’ve been really working on lately.
Love the pictures…”the face” is priceless! =)
Have enjoyed keeping up with this adventure, & can’t wait to see Evyn!! Nash is absolutely adorable in these photos! Hang in there, Mama! You’re doing a great job!
